Britannica Announces Drilling Program and Update on
McKenzie Break
Britannica Resources Corp. (“the
Company”; BRR – TSX Venture) is pleased to announce surface diamond
drilling has begun at the Britannica (40%) /
Northern Star Mining Corp (60%), joint ventured McKenzie Break project. The
McKenzie Break project consists of 10 contiguous claims comprising 366
hectares, located in Fiedmont and Courville townships, about 35 kilometres
north of
The surface
diamond drilling program includes definition and step out drilling for
conformation and expansion of known zones. Drilling is targeted ahead of the decline
under construction for an underground bulk sampling program.
Portal
construction, rock bolting, and screening were completed on January 6, at the McKenzie
Break project. Underground Decline construction has begun and presently the
decline has advanced some 30 meters. The initial target zone for bulk sampling
is located some 100 meters from the portal entrance. Initial bulk sampling will test the near
surface mineralization of the Murray Zone, beginning at a vertical depth of 20
meters and dipping to approximately 90 meters from surface.
