The AWG Project consists of 16 mineral claims (800 hectares) and is located immediately south of the Cadillac Break, adjacent to the past producing Kewagama on O'Brien gold mines, approximately four kilometres southeast of Agnico-Eagle's Laronde mine.
Mineralization has been discovered on the property and consists of pyrite, arsenopyrite and visible gold centred in a sheared feldspathic porphyry located within a sedimentary unit of the Pontiac group. Other past-producing mines centred in this type of geologic environment include East Malartic mines (reported production 2.8 million ounces, M.R.N. 32 D/01) and Camflo mines (reported production 1.8 million ounces, M.R.N. 32 D/01).
