Clarimont Deltador Project

The Deltador property is approximately 30 km northeast of the city of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec,in the La Pause, Clericy and Dufresnoy townships. The property comprises 146 contiguous and non-contiguous claims and covers an area of 5,959 hectares.

The property lies at the west end of the major La Pause anticline. The main rock types are metasedimentary and metavolcanic units with lesser syenite, ultramafic to felsic intrusions, and Proterozoic diabase dykes. All units have E to ESE orientations with the exception of the crosscutting diabase dykes and the syenite intrusion underlying the west end of the A Block. The southeast leg of the major SE-trending Destor-Porcupine fault transects the property, dividing it into two distinct domains: volcanic rocks of the Malartic Group to the north and sedimentary rocks of the Kewagama Group to the south. Several other faults also occur on the property,  mostly subparallel to the Destor-Porcupine segment although some cut across the general trend. A good example of the latter is the Lac Caste Fault (a late sinistral NNW fault), which occurs in the middle of the B Block. Rocks on the property generally reached the greenschist facies.

Chassignol Project

The Chassignol project consists of 49 claims for 1039 hectares, located immediately north of Agnico Eagle’s Laronde mine property.

Previous Ministry of Natural Resources surveys show overlapping magnetic and gravimetric anomalies along a roughly east-west-striking formation of chloritized andesites. Surface samples returned anomalous gold and copper values. Significant gravimetric anomalies are present over this property. The project rocks are characterized by intense, possibly iron-rich, chloritization. This alteration process is similar to those observed during the formation of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits.

Bleu Bird Project

The Bluebird project, consists of 8 claims comprising approximately 350 hectares located immediately adjacent to the northern boundary of Cambior’s Doyon gold mine property.

The Doyon gold mine has been in operation for over 20 years and produced over 210,000 ounces of gold in 2003. Current proven and probable reserves at the Doyon mine represent 1.4 million ounces
